What is Jackson County 4-H?
We work with Jackson County youth in grades 4th - 12th.
Students learn life skills, and form attitudes that will enable them to become productive and contributing members of society. This mission is accomplished through hands-on learning experiences, focused on agricultural and environmental issues, agriculture awareness, leadership, communications skills, foods and nutrition, health, energy conservation, and citizenship.
Exploring and discovering, encouraging and challenging that is what Georgia 4-H is about. As a program of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, 4-H combines federal, state, and local expertise and resources.
Jackson County 4-H provides educational and hands-on programming to more than a thousand Jackson County youth through our in-school partnership with Jackson County School System, Commerce City Schools, Jefferson City Schools, and Jackson Trail Christian Academy; and our variety of afterschool programs and competitions.
How can I get involved in Jackson County 4-H?
We always welcome donations (cash, check, card) to support summer programs and educational opportunities. Donations can be made over the phone, 706-367-6344 or at our office: 255 Curtis H.
